New Windows 11 update for 23h2 in the beta channel
Microsoft has released the update KB5055615 for users in the Beta-Canal of the Windows Insider Program. This update increases the version number of Windows 11 23H2 to 22635,5235 and is the preview of the optional update that is released to all users during the penultimate April week. That is new / that has been improved
An important part of the update is the optimization of the file explorer. Microsoft has improved the visibility of the keyboard focus in the navigation buttons of the opening and storage dialogues. The frame was designed darker, which makes navigation much easier with the keyboard. This improvement in particular benefits users with limited vision or those who prefer to work with the keyboard.
According to the Report by Deskmodder, the update also fixes an annoying bug in the setting app. Before that, it could occur that the app would get stuck if users wanted to adjust the registration setting under accounts> registration options. This option is crucial for security because it defines the time period of the inactivity is required to register.
Well -known problems in the start menu
Despite the positive changes, KB5055615 also brings with it a well -known problem. When right -clicking on apps in the start menu, the context menu “Start Settings” briefly flickers before the actual context menu of the app appears. This visual disorder can be observed in the new raster and category view on the “All Apps” page of the start menu.
