Microsoft Surface Duo 2 Update Brings New Features Along With Camera Improvements

Microsoft is not doing a bad job of providing Android updates for the Surface Duo quickly: The December patch is already starting for the Surface Duo devices and, according to the release notes, brings improvements for the camera.

This is reported by OnMSFT. It’s about the December security patch for Android, which, with additional improvements, is now also being distributed by Microsoft to the Surface Duo and the Surface Duo 2. Google started the update at the beginning of the month and now Microsoft is already in the process of issuing an adapted update for the owners of the folding Surface smartphone.

In addition to security-related changes, the new software version also offers a few device-specific changes. This includes that the new software version should improve the camera of the Surface Duo. In addition, new animations have been introduced in the app navigation and the display sensitivity has been improved. We have added the release notes with all changes at the end of this post.

The update contains a number of bug fixes and stability improvements that were not mentioned in detail. The new software version has the build number 2021.923.272.
