Microsoft wants to make Edge the best browser for gaming

With a new update, Microsoft is making its Edge internet browser a bit more player-friendly with some improvements to Xbox and PC games.

Microsoft announced it has started rolling out a handful of new gaming-related features in the Edge browser on Windows 10 and Windows 11 These are all designed to lure players to the default Windows browser and thus increase its adoption rate, which is still far behind Google Chrome. Microsoft Edge gets a new homepage for gamers

In addition to improving the quality of games streamed from Xbox Cloud Gaming, Microsoft has also unveiled a new ‘Gaming’ homepage experience. on the new Edge tab, which provides personalized information and content about the games you care about. As a reminder, you can access the Xbox Cloud Gaming service by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Inspired by Xbox UI, the game’s new home screen features news, game guides, live streams, highlights, tournaments, and upcoming and newly released games in a separate news feed in colorful blocks. Microsoft calls this a homepage, but to get there you have to tap the new “Gaming” heading in the navigation bar on the main Edge home screen.

Microsoft also recalls the existence of its Feature Edge Efficiency Mode which reduces browser resource usage while gaming, and are Edge gaming section, which offers free games. All the features listed above are: available in the new version 103 of Microsoft Edge To take advantage of this, all you need to do is update your browser.
