Microsoft is officially killing Windows Vista: No more support, leaving Vista operating systems under threat

10 years of ruling for Windows Vista is now over. Microsoft announced on Tuesday that Vista will not be getting any support and is now more prone to threats.

In 2007, Microsoft rolled out Vista as a replacement for the previous versions. Sadly, this newer version couldn’t win hearts.

Vista was based on a new database ‘WinFS’ and a new set of APIs. Unfortunately, the new features didn’t work as planned. Not only this but the buggy and the slow system failed to rule many hearts and systems.

Soon after its unsuccessful launch, Microsoft introduced Windows 7, after two years of Vista. The new Window update made people forget about Vista and the company starts getting back its clientele.

However, Windows Vista even after its failure, is still running on devices. The company recently announced the Windows 10 Creators update is here and Vista is now no more their burden.

If you continue to use Windows Vista after support has ended, your computer will still work but it might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses.

Internet Explorer 9 is no longer supported, so if your Windows Vista PC is connected to the Internet and you use Internet Explorer 9 to surf the web, you might be exposing your PC to additional threats.

Also, as more software and hardware manufacturers continue to optimize for more recent versions of Windows, you can expect to encounter more apps and devices that do not work with Windows Vista.

So for those using Vista, it’s hight time to update their systems and save themselves from malware and trojans. And update their systems either to Windows 7 or Windows 10.
