Today, Motorola announced the Moto E40. It is one step ahead of its predecessor, the Moto E20, and is still a budget smartphone.
We already stated a few days ago that this Moto E40 will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. However, we didn’t know if the display was going to be an LCD or what, and today we learned that it’s an LCD.
We also said the device will be powered by a Unisoc T700 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery. The Moto E40 has a fingerprint sensor that rests on the Motorola logo on the rear. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card.
Camera-wise, this device is again a good device for users looking for a budget smartphone. It features a triple-camera setup with 48MP main, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors. On the front, we get an 8MP shooter.
The Motorola Moto E40 will run Android 11-based MyUX out of the box. We expect the device to get an Android 12 update in the future. The device is available in Carbon Gray and Pink Clay colors.
