Multiple devices from Motorola, OnePlus, ASUS, and others receive ARCore certification

A range of different devices from different brands has received ARCore support. Recently, Google confirmed the official news that several Motorola, OnePlus, ASUS, and Xiaomi smartphones have been marked with ARCore support. Almost 17 new devices have been included in eh ARCore support list. It even includes the Lenovo Tablet. Considering smartphones, there are mid-range as well as flagship smartphones.

Notably, the latest devices that have gained ARCore support include the following:  

ASUS: ASUS Zenfone 9, ASUS ROG Phone 6

Motorola: Motorola Moto G Power (2022), Motorola Moto G42, Motorola Moto G62 5G

OnePlus: OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, OnePlus Nord N20 5G

Xiaomi: Xiaomi Poco X4 GT, Xiaomi Redmi K50i, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T Pro, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T Pro+.

Lenovo: Lenovo’s Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) tablet

Besides these devices, the Honor Magic 4 Pro, Micromax In Note 2, Zebra TC53, and Zebra TC58 are also included in the list.

The approval of ARCore support by Google indicates that these Android devices can offer Augmented Reality (AR) experiences. The ARCore support indicates that the Live View feature works well with Google Maps. Besides this, several social media apps support AR features. whatever it is, ARCore support means that devices can operate properly.

One thing to notice here is that these devices have been on the market for a timespan of more than a year. All of these devices have support for AR features. Still, Google verifies each device individually and takes its own time to review the device.  Sometimes it can even take months to approve the devices. Well, the reason behind the delay is unknown. The delay doesn’t hamper the user experience as they can enjoy AR experiences on their supported devices.
