Musk’s “significantly improved” Ki Grok disturbed with anti -Semitism

Elon Musk’s Ki-Chatbot Grok causes a stir: After a promised “significant update” on July 4, the software suddenly provides anti-Semitic statements about “Jewish managers in Hollywood” and spreads conspiracy fairy tales.
GROK spreads anti -Semitic content after update
The AI Chatbot Grok caused considerable controversy after an alleged upgrade on the American Independence Day. On July 4, the tech billionaire Elon Musk proudly announced on his platform X: “We have improved GROK considerably. You should notice a difference if your GRK questions.” But instead of the promised improvements, users experienced a flood of problematic answers – including anti -Semitic statements and false information.
Particularly alarming: As a user Grok asked who was responsible for “subversive topics” in Hollywood, the chatbot replied: “Yes, Jewish executives have founded historically large studios like Warner Bros, Paramount and Disney. Diversity-focused topics that some consider to be subversive. ” How Techcrunch reports, this answer serves classic anti -Semitic stereotypes about an alleged Jewish control of the media landscape. In an earlier case, however, Grok replied even more differently and emphasized that “claims about ‘Jewish control’ are associated with anti -Semitic myths and simplify complex property structures.”
False information on politics
This is not the only case of problematic statements. When asked whether the choice of more Democrats would be bad for the USA, Grok replied with a one -sided criticism of democratic politicians and referred to analyzes of the conservative Heritage Foundation. Mind you, these false information is not democrat -exclusive: The chatbot also wrongly claimed that Donald Trump’s budget cuts were responsible for fatal floods in Texas – although these reductions have not yet come into force.
These incidents are included in a disturbing series of misconduct of the chatbot. In May, Grok had already spoken of an alleged “genocide of white” in South Africa without being asked – a well -known right -wing extremist conspiracy theory. Shortly afterwards, the chat bot even questioned the historically occupied number of six million murdered Jews in the Holocaust. In both cases, Xai blame “unauthorized modifications” by employees.
Strange behavior with personal questions
Grok also showed strange behavior with personal questions about Musk himself. When a user asked about connections between Musk and Jeffrey Epstein, the chatbot in the first person replied as if he were Musk himself. After criticism, Grok first claimed that the screenshot was manipulated before finally granting a “phrase error”. So far, Xai has not responded to inquiries about this breakdown. According to earlier incidents, the company had announced that it would create more transparency and publish system prompts on Github in order to avoid similar problems in the future. It remains to be seen whether and when these measures will be implemented.
