According to Punjab information Technology Board (PITB) Pakistan is going to host its first ever convention focusing on Pakistani freelancers. The convention is starting today March 28. Venue for freelancers convention is set to be Arfa Technology Park Lahore. Techhub connect which also provides co-working space for freelancers and Chief minister’s Rozgar program both are going to co-host the event.
This event has a huge potential for future growth, it would bring closer the top and leading freelancers from across the country and key stakeholders on one platform. As this is the first initiative towards the grooming of freelancers, it would also highlight key problem areas and recommendations for improvement.
Pakistan is the top 4th country to export freelancing services from the most popular platform Elance, after US, India and Ukraine. Freelance market is growing and has huge potential to grow even further, these kinds of events are crucial for their growth.
The event is expected to bring the freelancing community under one roof; more than 5000 leading freelancers, entrepreneurs, co-working spaces, businesses, and students are expected to attend the event in Lahore.
