This information was shared via a blog post. The company mentions that the new update for Google Home will be out on home.google.com. It enables the users to view Nest cameras and doorbell feeds on the web.

A web browser will allow the Nest users

  1. to check in on live views in full-screen
  2. view camera status
  3. zooms in to see more details

and much more. All these options could be availed using a web browser.

How to access Google Home on the web

Sign in with your Google account on home.google.com. Once signed in, you will have immediate access to a live stream of Nest cameras as well as doorbells. Additionally, you will also be able to switch between single-camera and multi-camera views. Furthermore, you can turn your cameras on or off. Additionally, it allows viewing the status of your cameras as well as waking up battery cameras if they are inactive.

Which cameras and doorbells are compatible with Google Home?

A list of compatible Nest cameras and doorbells that align with the web version of Google Home is as follows:

  • Nest Cam Indoor and Nest Cam Outdoor
