Netflix introduces 30-minute Video previews as a new feature to the mobile viewers, the preview look similar to stories on Snapchat and Instagram. The thumbnails are circular in shape and the video plays like virtual videos, you don’t need to move your phone to the side while watching video previews, the preview plays like a slideshow which will allow you to tap or slide to skip to the next video without going back to the home screen.
You can also add the video for later viewing with the button, the feature is being rolled out to the Netflix iOS app, from today but it’s not available on Android right now which the company confirms that it’s coming soon.
Netflix started offering video previews on the web and on its TV app earlier, now it’s coming to mobile focusing on mobile users who prefer to find the content on their mobile while on the go. In a blogpost, the company said, “We have tested and analyzed for years that video previews help our users browse less and discover content more quickly. By launching mobile previews, we are offering a video browse experience to your mobile in a fun and mobile-optimized way.”
