New AMD CPU released: Even the marketing team was surprised

There have been a number of new processor releases in recent weeks. First, AMD released its Zen 5 CPUs, then yesterday Intel followed up with Lunar Lake. Now it is Team Red again that is releasing another chip. The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is a CPU that was previously only available in America and is coming to the German market.

The 7600X3D has six cores, a clock speed of 4.1 GHz (base) or 4.7 GHz (boost), a TDP of 65 watts and 96 megabytes of L3 cache. This makes the chips particularly interesting for gaming fans. The additional vertical memory is particularly beneficial for game performance.

The processor thus ranks at the end of the X3D models with Zen 4 microarchitecture and AM5 socket.

Similar to America, AMD has signed an exclusive contract with just one retailer in Germany. The release of the chip also came as a complete surprise to parts of AMD.

Great competition

And the new chip is also coming under pressure from the other side. At the lower end, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D is a model that can be purchased for under 200 euros. However, you have to make do with Zen 3 and an AM4 socket. If you go for the 7600X3D, you at least have the option of upgrading at a later date.
