New insights into Obsidian’s action role-playing game

Obsidian Entertainment not only publishes the second part of the Grounded co-op adventure this year, but also a sequel to The Outer Worlds. In a new trailer, the studio now shows new game scenes and reveals more details about the plot.

Crazy adventure in a new colony

The scene of The Outer Worlds 2 is a colony called Arcadia, in which a brutal parliamentary group war rages between the Protectorate, the Order of the Ascendant and the Auntie’s Choice Group Group. Another, and maybe even bigger problem, are mysterious cracks that appear all over the colony – and here the player intervenes.

As an agent of the earth council, this is given the task of exploring the origins of the cracks. However, he is not welcomed by all colonists. However, actions and decisions can affect the player’s perception both positively and negatively. Dealing with your own crew is also important. Six different companions with their own quest series may be recruited, which will then become an integral part of the story.

The Outer Worlds 2 will be released on October 25, 2025 for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the price for many players should cause trouble: The Outer Worlds 2 is listed as the first title of the Xbox Game Studios on all three platforms for just under 80 euros. For the premium edition including DLC ​​passport for two future story extensions, 100 euros are even due.
