New RTX Hotfix Driver Against Crashes

Crashes, graphics errors, screen problems-Nvidia’s new RTX-50 series fights with teething problems. The second hotfix driver within a week now fixes ten more mistakes. Games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Forza and Black Myth are particularly affected.
Focus on game crashes and screen problems
With the GeForce Hotfix Display Driver 576.26, Nvidia has released another emergency patch for its current graphics drivers. After the Hotfix 576.15 had already resolved various problems, the new version is now addressing ten further mistakes-most of them affect the new GeForce RTX 50 series with Blackwell architecture.
Particularly striking: four of the errors caused in games, four more led to graphic errors. The titles concerned include Black Myth: Wukong, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Forbidden West and Dead Island 2. At Red Dead Redemption 2, the problems occurred specifically in DirectX-12 mode, while the game was stable in volcano mode.
There were also difficulties in the DisplayPort 2.1 connection. Users of certain LG monitors (including models such as 27GX790A and 45GX950A) experienced black screens with activated HDR. In addition, the driver fixes a problem with short -term screen flickers with high refresh rates via DisplayPort 2.1.
In addition, mistakes in games such as Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport were also remedied, which are not specifically related to the RTX 50 series. In Forza Horizon 5, the lights flickered in particular during night trips, while in Forza Motorsport falsifications of the route in the benchmark or during night race performed.
Extensive error deposits in a short time
The new hotfix builds on the Game Ready Driver 576.02 and integrates all error loans of the previous Hotfix 576.15. These included: among other things:
- Problems with the GPU temperature monitoring after waking up from the idle state
- Lower clock rates at idle after the update on the driver 576.02
- Crashes in shader compilation in some games
- Black screens on RTX-50 notebooks after waking up from modern standby
The quick sequence of driver updates shows that Nvidia is actively working on the resolutions of the problems that have occurred since the launch of the RTX 50 series. The current generation is not only faced with driver problems, but also with criticism of high prices and the limited video memory.
The GeForce Hotfix Display Driver are considered beta versions. All changes and error fixes will be integrated in the next official GeForce Game Ready driver. NVIDIA recommends the hotfix only for users who are actually affected by the specific problems, while other users should wait for the next regular driver.
