Ninja Gaiden 4 Revealed: New Hero Yakumo Takes the Lead, Launches October 2025
One day before the official start of Gamescom in Cologne, Team Ninja and Platinum Games released a trailer for the Ninja Gaiden 4 action game. This provides insights into the plot and shows game scenes with the new protagonist.
New hero in focus
In Ninja Gaiden 4, the serial hero Ryu Hayabusa takes a background a little, instead players primarily slip into the role of Yakumo. The young ninja of the Raven clan has to oppose the dark kite who has plunged modern Tokyo into chaos.
As the new preview shows, Ninja Gaiden 4, despite the new hero, continues to focus on the usual fast and combined combat system. However, Yakumo brings some new mechanics into the gameplay. This includes, for example, the blood trench shape, with which he can temporarily observe the battlefield from an increased position and even do attacks from there. But also new weapon skills and well -known actions such as the flying swallow or the Izuna drop expand Yakumo’s opportunities.
Release in October
In a scene in a scene, Yakumo also sounds with the old protagonist Ryu Hayabusa in a scene. Its precise role in the plot is not yet known, but he should have something like a mentor role for the young hero. Fans can also look forward to playable passages as Ryu. Ninja Gaiden 4 will be released on October 21, 2025 and can already be pre -ordered for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre -orderers secure the Dark Dragon Descendant Yakumo Skin to the start. The game will also be included in the Game Pass from the first day.
