No More 3D Paint and 3D Viewer with the New Microsoft 10 Installation

With the new Microsoft 10 installation, users will not be getting Paint 3D and 3D Viewer.

Microsoft introduced Paint 3D and 3D Viewer back in 2017 Windows 10 Creators Update. However, both apps failed to attract much audience, which led to suspending the service with the new installations.

Paint 3D was an upgrade to the earlier version of Paint and focussed on 3D art creation. Whereas 3D Viewer was used for viewing 3D models in the application.

The company created much hype about Paint 3D when it launched four years ago. It was also planned to replace the regular Paint version, rather than make it an optional app on the Microsoft Store. However, those plans didn’t really work.

According to the source, the new installs will not provide 3D Paint and 3D Viewer, which may mean that the next versions of Windows 10 will not have these apps.

However, those enjoying these apps could continue to access if a user upgraded the operating system, with the option of uninstalling them.

3D Viewer and Paint 3D will no longer be preinstalled on clean installs of the latest Insider Preview builds. Both apps will still be available in the Store and will stay on your device after an OS update. So, if you upgraded your PC like normal, you shouldn’t see these apps changed in your app list.

Both these apps would still be available on the Microsoft Store, allowing users to download and install these if they want.
