Shazam is Apple’s music recognition app. As per some recent pieces of information, the Cupertino-based tech firm has updated the Shazam app. It is now better at identifying the songs played in several third-party apps. It means users can now identify the songs played on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
How to use it?
In order to use the new feature, users will be required to open the app and click on the blue button. Followed by this, go back to the app to recognize what is playing. The Shazam app uses the smartphone’s microphone to listen to songs. The song will be identified by the app. Users can turn back to Shazam app and find the name and information about the song. In this way, it can recognize the song played on other apps that are in use.
Furthermore, users can use the built-in Song Recognition feature in iPhones to recognize a song. It is located inside the iPhone Control Center. It is compatible with apps like YouTube. To use it simply play a song, turn to the Control Center, and click on the Song Recognition button to identify the song that is playing. This approach doesn’t require the users to leave the YouTube app. As soon as a song is identified, it is displayed as a notification or in Dynamic Island. Furthermore, users can turn to the Shazam app to receive more information.
When a song is identified with the help of the Shazam app it gets added to the playlist in Apple Music. Users can later listen to the whole song. Don’t worry in case a user doesn’t use Apple Music, the identified song is saved within the recent Shazams. If you don’t have the Shazam app, you can download it for free from the App Store.
