For fans of The Grand Tour, it’s time to say goodbye: “One For The Road,” the final episode of the cult series, will soon be released on Prime Video. The last trip together will take the trio back to Zimbabwe. A new trailer now gives a glimpse of the unforgettable road trip.
After Prime Video released an emotional teaser video for The Grand Tour: One For The Road just a few days ago, the official trailer for the show is now available. It shows what the three car lovers Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond can expect on their trip across Zimbabwe – and that is above all the breathtaking landscapes of the South African country, which are characterized by lush mountains and dry plains.
Of course, the typical (and less typical) challenges of such a road trip cannot be missed, starting with problems with the mechanics and the impassable terrain to crossing a river full of crocodiles with three rather unusual transport boats. In these and many other situations, the very special dynamic between Clarkson, May and Hammond should once again come to the fore.
For their last tour, they have chosen a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo, a 1974 Ford Capri and a 1974 Triumph Stag, which they ultimately want to use to cross the border into Botswana. The Grand Tour was launched on Prime Video in 2016 after the three Brits had previously hosted the BBC’s car magazine Top Gear together. One For The Road will be available exclusively on Amazon’s streaming service from September 13, 2024.
