On March 21, Microsoft is hosting an event regarding Surface and Windows AI

Microsoft has recently announced about its latest event regarding AI devices and their features. As per announcement, this even will happen on March 21, entitled as, “Advancing the era of work with Copilot.” The timing of this even will be 9AM Pacific/12PM Eastern on the scheduled date. As promised, Microsoft will reveal “the latest in scaling AI in your environment with Copilot, Windows and Surface.” However, no further details were shared for the announcements.

As reported previously via Windows central, Microsoft is expected to launch Surface Pro 10 along with Surface Laptop 6 on the same date of the event i.e. March 21. These devices will be the first ones to be Microsoft’s AI PCs that will contain new Intel Core Ultra or Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Processor. Both of these models have Neutral Processing Units (NPUs) that’ll enhance AI capabilities. These features make this upcoming surface device to be the first one to support latest AI features that’ll came in with Windows 11.

These new AI capabilities can include smoothing frame rates, upscaling for games, and real-time live captioning and translations. Additionally, it has been rumored that Microsoft is developing a feature called AI Explorer that will enable users to search natural language across apps, documents, web pages, photos, and chats. According to Windows Central, AI Explorer may be able to recognize context and make recommendations for activities depending on what’s displayed on the screen. Additionally, it might record user activities on the computer and make them searchable at a later time. In a few weeks, we’ll find out for sure if Microsoft is indeed releasing new Surface devices and AI features; naturally, we’ll keep you informed of any announcements from the firm.
