OnePlusis is introducing a stable build of the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 to the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. The two updates will come out with build numbers of HD65AA and HD01AA, respectively. However, it will also have the Feb’21 Android security patch, which is disappointing since we are now nearing the end of March.
On the other hand, OxygenOS 11 features loads of changes to OnePlus phones. The phones’ UI now resembles Samsung’s One UI. the new OnePlus UI brings a “more comfortable experience with various optimizations of details.”
The Camera app will support the HEVC codec to reduce video storage size, Dark Mode gets a shortcut key in quick settings, Game Space features quick-reply messaging windows, the Gallery app gets a new Story function and a lot more.
However, there are some complaints reporting a broken Camera app from users who have updated to the latest software version. The app crashes when trying to switch between different lenses and modes.
After a few rounds of testing, the company is said to be rolling out a stable build to the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. There are still some issues with the stable build as well, but it’s expected that the company is already up to fixing the issues.
