OnePlus is soon releasing its next flagship of smartphones – the OnePlus 9 series. The release date is set for March 23, 2021.
In the latest leaks we received from a source, the company has announced the upcoming series’s screen features. According to the recent information, the OnePlus 9 series will come with a refresh rate of 120Hz and has increased the brightness adjustment level to 8192, with automatic colour temperature sensing.
The series has successfully passed DisplayMate A+ certification and is said to support a true 10bit 2K+ display. Moreover, the smartphone will have the first batch of LTPO flexible displays.
The OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau, has also shared a little about the OnePlus 9 Pro. The CEO showcased the OnePlus 9 Pro in Morning Mist colour option, which has a silver colourway. The image of the smartphone showed a curved display with a hole-punch cutout. Previously it was said that the OnePlus 9 Pro would come with a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, it is said that the smartphone would have a quad-camera setup, confirmed to feature a 48 MP Sony IMX789 sensor and a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor. It is also said that the 9 Pro will arrive with an 8 MP telephoto lens with a 3.3x optical zoom and a 2 MP depth sensor with an LED flash
Under the hood, the handset may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
