OnePlus Rolls Out New OxygenOS Update with AI Translation Upgrades and Camera Improvements

Just days after releasing a major software update for its flagship, OnePlus has started rolling out another incremental patch for its new OnePlus 13. The OxygenOS 15.0.0.405 build is now available for users in major markets, bringing practical AI upgrades and camera enhancements.
The centerpiece of these AI upgrades is a better translation experience. OnePlus is introducing live-translated speech that appears in real time on your screen. Taking a cue from Samsung’s Galaxy AI features, it’s also adding a “face-to-face translation” mode. This feature splits your screen into two sections—one for each person’s translated text during a conversation. If you prefer audio translations, you can use headphones to hear the translated speech instead of relying on text.
For select headphones, OnePlus has added a tap-based system to make starting face-to-face translation even easier. According to the company, “The translation of one language is played on the phone’s speaker, while the translation of the other language is played on the headphones.” This setup should help make bilingual conversations less chaotic, even if machine translations still aren’t perfect.
The update also includes improvements to wireless network stability and compatibility. Plus, there’s good news for photography enthusiasts—camera enhancements are part of this update, too. OnePlus has worked on improving color reproduction in Master Mode, addressing issues with inconsistent color chemistry compared to the default Photo mode. It has also fine-tuned the camera zoom and overall stability.
While I haven’t experienced any focus-hunting issues on my OnePlus 13, there have been moments where it struggled with capturing moving subjects. Hopefully, these tweaks will deliver a more polished camera experience. The OxygenOS update is rolling out in phases, so keep an eye out—it’s packed with features worth exploring!
