While Samsung is struggling to get more orders for the recent foldable smartphones it released in the market, there’s a new competitor Samsung is about to meet. This competitor isn’t new in the smartphone-making business; it’s OPPO.
A new leak shows that OPPO is working on a new foldable smartphone, which could give some hard time to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold range. According to a Chinese tipster, this upcoming OPPO foldable smartphone could feature a 7.8-inch to 8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Camera-wise, there could be a 32MP front camera for selfies and a 50MP IMX766 main camera on the rear. The rear main camera could upscale video recording and could feature an 8K video recording.
Under the hood, this foldable smartphone could have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and rill on Android 11 out of the box. The tipster also suggested that this foldable handset could have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
No other details came in from the tipster and the company hasn’t said a word about this report. We do hope to hear more about this upcoming OPPO foldable smartphone and when we do, we sure will share it with you. Till then keep reading tech news on Research Snipers!
