In China, Oppo is all set to introduce a new K-series smartphone. We are talking about the Oppo K12. For the last few days, the rumor mill has been suggesting the possible features and specs of the upcoming Oppo K12. Recently, the reports suggested details about the chipset powering the device. As of now, we have come across some more details about the upcoming device. Reportedly, the source refers to a phone from OnePlus with a comparable feature set.
The tipster Smart Pikachu shared on Weibo that the Oppo K12 will feature a flat display and a flat/right-angle frame. In simple words, the upcoming device features the same design as its predecessor, the Oppo K11. In addition to this, the reports suggest that the smartphone will feature support for 100W fast wired charging. The device is reported to include a decentralized flagship camera sensor, something similar to what was found in the Oppo K11.
Furthermore, the rumor suggests that the device will be powered by a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chip. Previously, the tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the smartphone would be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. In other words, it is the only major upgrade to the Oppo K11. There is a possibility that the Oppo K12 might feature an updated main camera as well.
Last, but not least, the tipster claims that the smartphone will arrive with a price tag of ¥2,000 (~$280), similar to its ancestor. He also said that the same feature set will be available on a smartphone from OnePlus. The upcoming Oppo K12 will probably be referred to as the OnePlus Nord CE 4 in international markets since the Oppo K11 was launched under the name OnePlus Nord CE 3 outside of mainland China. Regretfully, we don’t know when either of these products will be released.
