Oppo Vice President Brian Shen today revealed on Weibo that the next flagship phone of the company’s Reno Ace series would be released on April 13, a day before the global launch of OnePlus 8 series phones. The new flagship, slated as the Reno Ace 2 5G, will boast the same 65W fast charging speed as its predecessor, launched in October of last year.

Last month, the Reno Ace 2 5G made its way through China’s TENAA, revealing almost all of the primary tech specs and design on the handset. The Reno Ace 2 5G will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display in the top-left corner with a hole-punch cutout for a 16MP selfie camera, as per the TENAA listing of the handset. But the refresh rate of the screen has not yet been disclosed. Since the Reno Ace comes with a 90Hz display, the Ace 2 5G is expected to get a more impressive 120Hz refresh rate.

The Reno Ace 2 will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset under the display, just like the recently released Find X2 series phones do. The phone is tipped in the camera department to feature a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle 8MP, and two 2MP sensors. The Reno Ace 2 5G will also come with a 4000mAh battery and endorse wireless charging speeds of 40W.
