OPPO will reportedly introduce its own smartphone processors

Some smartphone brands have an in-house processor including Apple, Huawei, and Samsung. Some time ago, Google also wanted to join the list. So it begins making efforts the development of its unique chipset in association with the System LSI division of Samsung. Furthermore, LG and Xiaomi did plan to introduce something relevant. But unfortunately, they were unable to deliver massive products in the market having an in-house processor.  As of now, it appears like another smartphone brand is all set to dip its toe in the same tech.

The tipster Ice Universe revealed that OPPO is reportedly working on the development of its unique chipset. The first device with an in-house processor will make its appearance by 2024. As per the reports, the Chinese firm OPPO has several engineers busy at working on SoCs. Some of the BBK Electronic Brands comprise Realme, Vivo, iQOO, and OnePlus. These brands could also rely on chipsets produced by OPPO. Since OPPO has previously introduced a few processors that reportedly enhance the camera processing, wireless connectivity, and display smoothness.

Whether OPPO will utilize the newly developed chipsets in its high-end smartphones or not is unclear. We are not sure whether OPPO will give this a start with its mid-range smartphones or adopts a completely different strategy. Presently, Qualcomm is the best supplier of chipsets in the Android segment. Since its chipsets present excellent performance as well as efficiency. Whereas MediaTek is also going well. Since its latest Dimensity 9000 series is quite impressive.

On the other hand, the System LSI by Samsung was once considered the second-best in the Android segment. Unfortunately, it has fallen behind. The recent Exynos 2100 and Exynos 2200 chipsets are not power efficient in comparison to the ones introduced by MediaTek and Qualcomm. The Exynos chipsets hold less powerful GPUs. Given these reasons, the South Korean tech company has decided to develop its own chipset division with some of the best professionals.
