Oura is selling its rings on Amazon ahead of the launch of Galaxy Ring

Even though Samsung hasn’t even released the Galaxy Ring yet, Oura appears to have been alarmed enough by its approaching release to start selling the rings on Amazon. Although Oura is one of the market leaders in smart rings, the business has been selling its products directly to consumers for the past few years.

It was hesitant to sell its rings on Amazon, probably because of the hefty margins that the biggest online retailer in the world demands in exchange for exposure to its enormous client base. But the company has eaten the harsh pill and decided to finally sell on Amazon, given that Samsung is a household name, and its smart ring will probably dwarf Oura’s visibility.

Oura releases its rings on Amazon before the Galaxy Rings are released

Oura is currently offering their smart ring on Amazon in both the Horizon and Heritage versions. Additionally, it will provide size kits to clients via the shop. It is clear that Oura wants to increase its retail presence before Samsung introduces the Galaxy Ring. It also wants to become a smart ring seller on Amazon, as it is likely that Samsung will sell smart rings there as well.

Only tidbits of information have been released by Samsung regarding the Galaxy Ring thus far, and the device will only be unveiled in person behind a glass case at Mobile World Congress in 2024. According to what little is known, the Galaxy Ring will come in a variety of sizes and colors in multiple finishes. Better health, activity, and sleep tracking are all provided by this incredibly light and comfy wearable.

Given that Samsung is a well-known brand, it stands to reason that more people will learn about its smart ring. It makes sense that Oura is worried about that and wants to make sure the Galaxy Ring doesn’t take advantage of it too much. It remains to be seen if it will be successful in making that happen. The Galaxy Ring is anticipated to be released by Samsung later this year.
