Overspending on subscriptions? A guide on how to check and cancel via iPhone

Are you prepared to review all the services you have paid for on your iOS device?

Below are some instructions on how to cancel subscriptions on an iPhone, as well as advice for parents, how to handle free trials, and how to ensure that you receive alerts each time you pay for a renewal.

With your Apple ID, it’s simple to sign up for recurring services on an iPhone, but it’s also simple to forget about everything you’ve paid for.

It’s also important to note that with free trials, you may frequently sign up, quit right away, and still benefit from the full trial period.

We’ll also go over how to switch on renewal receipts so you receive email notifications each time you pay for a membership down below.

How to change your iPhone’s settings to cancel subscriptions

  • Launch the Settings program.
  • Touch your name up top.
  • Subscriptions on Tap
  • Now, you can view every subscription associated with your Apple ID that is active or expired.
  • To cancel, alter selections, or view more details, tap on one.
  • The Renewal Receipts option, which notifies you when a subscription is renewed, can also be turned on and off.
  • You could notice a button at the bottom to see which of your Apple subscriptions are paid for by your wireless provider.

Apple will notify you when a subscription or free trial expires and how long you can continue to use it (the remaining paid or free trial period).

Parents should know that despite paying for a subscription, it won’t appear under your Apple ID if it was set up on a child’s device or with a separate Apple ID (even with Family Sharing). To view their subscriptions, go to their device and perform the aforementioned procedures.

Subscription cancellation on the App Store

  • Go to the App Store and click your profile image there.
  • Subscriptions on Tap
  • Now, you can view every subscription associated with your Apple ID that is active or expired.
  • To cancel, alter selections, or view more details, tap on one.

If you have any questions or concerns about an App Store subscription or purchase, you can always contact Apple support by dialing 1-800-APL-CARE in the United States. The Apple support page also offers support.
