Pakistan has introduced its first historically speaking Cyber Security Center at Air University, Islamabad to protect the nation’s internet, economy, and framework from cyber-attacks.
Today, Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal has initiated Pakistan’s first-since forever “National Center for Cyber Security” (NCCS) at Air University, Islamabad. Cybersecurity speaks to a set of technologies and procedures intended to shield frameworks and systems from cyber-attacks (an endeavor by hackers to pulverize a PC, network or a framework). Successful cybersecurity measures decrease the danger of digital assaults.
As indicated by the reports, the NCCS plans to create advanced tools and research technologies to secure Pakistan’s cyberspace, sensitive information, and local economy from the cyber assaults.
The National Center will constitute of renowned labs at different universities of Pakistan including Air University Islamabad, Bahria University Islamabad, National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Information Technology University Lahore (ITU), Lahore University of Managment Sciences (LUMS), University of Peshawar, University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, University of Nowshera, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), NED University Karachi, University of Engineering and Technology Lahore and University of Engineering and Technology Taxila. The headquarter of the NCCS will be based at Air University Islamabad.
To build the awareness and learning about cyber security in Pakistani students, Air University is beginning a four year BS cyber security program which is intended to create current digital security aptitudes and apply them to oversee PCs, frameworks, and systems from cyber-attacks.
