PEMRA issues verdict to Sahir Lodhi

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has punished TV One’s administration and Sahir Lodhi. Sahir Lodhi is the host of the program “Ishq Ramzan” which aired questionable comments with respect to the creator and founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Television One administration has been made a request to say that ‘it complies with PEMRA’s orders’ amid its transmission on 24th June, 2017.

The channel has been requested to show the above as a content based ticker. Meanwhile, Sahir Lodhi will apologizes to the watchers over the ill-bred comments he made amid one of his current programs.

The disputable program was showed on 31st May 2017. After the program disclosed, PEMRA issued a show cause notice to the channel and the host to clarify the thinking behind the remarks that he made. The channel’s representative was approached to show up for an individual hearing also.
