Perhaps Samsung’s latest two-way flip-foldable will be the Galaxy Z Flip line’s successor

Samsung is well represented at CES 2024, as usual. The corporation is showcasing a plethora of new technology at the electronics expo in Vegas, ranging from artificial intelligence to robots to mainstream and transparent displays. Besides all these, the company has come forward with another innovative concept of a flip foldable phone. The new concept works by reversing the idea of the Galaxy Z Flip on the flip side.

Well, we are talking about the In&Out Flip. It is a product from the company’s Display division. Reportedly, this phone can fold 360 degrees. This implies that it folds out completely, in contrast to conventional flip foldables that fold inward. Such a device eliminates the requirement of an extra cover screen, given the fact that the main folding display folds outward. According to the company, the phone showcases a more sleek and thin design due to a single display.

A Samsung Display representative stated that this product will provide a new user experience given the fact that both sides can be used as screens. It is an alternate option for users who are more inclined towards bar-shaped phones because of the thickness of the foldable smartphones.

In addition to this, the company states that the panel can survive in extreme temperature conditions. According to Samsung, the device was tested for durability in the -20 degrees Celsius to -60 degrees Celsius temperature range. The display was also put through a battery of tests, including being submerged in water, rubbed with sand, and bounced basketballs off of it.

Furthermore, the company is also showcasing its progress on other foldable and rollable form factors at CES 2024. The Rollable Flex is a device that, when rolled out like a scroll, can stretch to five times its original size. The Flex Hybrid serves dual functions, as it can double up as a foldable as well as a slideable device.
