Pinterest accounts now requires two-factor security checks

Pinterest is making it hard for hackers to access unauthorized accounts. The social networking company is introducing two-factor security check.

Pinterest rolled out the news today morning that users will soon be required to either enter a passcode sent to their registered phone number.

OR

Would need to confirm a push notification using a third-party app; Authy.

Not only this, but users would also get email alerts and would also be able to see the access points or devices where their accounts have been logged in from.

The social media company has been working a lot to provide a safe way system to its users. And these 2 two-factor security checks are not less than any progress towards a safe usage of the social media app.

Getting a passcode on the phone number is a bit hefty process. So, the push notification comes in handy. But either could be used to log into a Pinterest account.

Some users might see this as a disappointment. However, the results are obvious.
