Pixel 8’s display size will be smaller than that of Pixel 7’s

Recently, some information surfaced regarding the display sizes of the upcoming Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. This information suggests that the display of the upcoming Pixel phone series will be smaller in contrast to its predecessor, the Pixel 7.

The information was shared by Ross Young on Twitter. He mentioned in his Tweet that Pixel 8 will have a 6.16-inch display. Whereas the Pixel 7 featured a 6.32-inch display panel. When it comes to Pixel 8 Pro will feature the same display size as the Pixel 7 Pro i.e., a 6.7-inch display size.

The source mentioned that the panel production for the upcoming Pixel phones is expected to begin by next month. It is anticipated that Google will introduce the new smartphone series in October. Well, this is not confirmed it is in line with the previous strategy of the company i.e., the company unveiled the Pixel 7 series in October 2022. Actually, this is the usual release cycle of the company.

This is some good news for people who are interested in a compact device. Where the device won’t be as compact as the ZenFone 9 or the iPhone 13 Mini. However, it will be in close vicinity to the offerings of the Galaxy S23. For sure, an option for users who don’t prefer big smartphones.

CAD-based renders unveiled the design of the Pixel 8

The renders indicate that the Pixel 8 will feature a flat display. It will accompany a centered display camera hole on top. The body is said to be based on metal and glass. On the back panel, it is provided with two cameras. The camera visor is the same as the Pixel 7. It will be covered by metal.

The specifications of the upcoming Pixel 8 are unknown. It is believed that the smartphone will be powered by a Google Tensor G3 chip. Additionally, it will come with Android 14 out of the box. it could even feature a 120Hz display this time around since the Pixel 7a will get the 90Hz display.
