Pixel CPUs devices will be 3nm in the future

According to a recent leak, the Internet company Google wants to switch to significantly more modern production, starting with the next generation of its Tensor CPUs for Pixel smartphones. This means that the manufacturing technology of Google chips keeps pace with Apple. Google
Look at Google’s CPU roadmap for Pixel 10
Google has been building its own processors for its Pixel smartphones for several years. You can’t keep up with the competition in terms of computing power, battery life and heat development. In the future, this could at least partially change as Samsung switches to TSMC as a contract manufacturer, as evidenced by a leak published by Android Authority.
Loud Kamila Wojchiechowska which claims to have internal documents from Google’s chip design department called gChips, wants to have the Tensor G5 or codename “Laguna” platform for the Google Pixel 10 manufactured by TSMC in its so-called “N3E” node. This is the second generation of TSMC’s 3-nanometer production, which is currently also used in Apple’s M4 and A18 Pro.
‘Next-Gen’ node N3P for Pixel 11
In 2026, the so-called “N3P” node will be used for the Google Tensor G6 with the code name “Malibu”, which according to rumors will be used for Apple’s A19. This is a further development of production with a structure width of three nanometers, which brings with it further progress in the form of a certain increase in performance while at the same time reducing power loss and shrinking the area required by the chip.
For Google’s own chips, switching to TSMC as a manufacturer means above all that you get a reliable partner with state-of-the-art technologies. Samsung still has massive difficulties ensuring its 3-nanometer production with sufficient margins. While it is clear that Google continues to invest heavily in the further development of its own chips, it remains unclear to what extent the company will succeed in improving the chip designs in such a way that the performance gap with other providers such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung and ultimately also Apple can close.
