PlayStation 5 Would Be Launched Soon In May

PlayStation 5

The cancellation of the world’s largest video game fair E3 has also forced the gaming industry to overturn all plans. This is especially important this year, as the new Sony and Microsoft consoles are due to appear in 2020.

Canceled E3 means that both companies had to reschedule. Sony already canceled its participation in the fair in mid-January, at a time when the world was still weeks and months away from a pandemic, but E3 played a role as an industry event for Sony and software partners.

After the cancellation, the various replacement dates must be coordinated, because the PlayStation 5 maker certainly does not want third-party developers to reveal PS5 secrets in the course of their own games. This is also confirmed by the renowned Niko partner analyst Daniel Ahmad, who specializes in gaming.

He wrote on Twitter today that many planned revelations and announcements have been postponed after the E3 cancellation and will no longer be concentrated within a week. There is no uniform trend: some events or presentations should take place “much earlier”, others “much later”. But there are also companies that want to stick to the E3 week.

Sony Mulling To Launch PlayStation 5 Soon

These changes primarily affect Sony, because Microsoft has already largely let the Xbox Series X cat out of the bag, the only thing missing is the price of the next Microsoft console. With the PlayStation 5, however, many questions remain unanswered. The Japanese have already revealed some things, but some are still outstanding, especially the design of the device.

According to information from the VideoGamesChronicle page (VGC) has rescheduled Sony and now wants to show the PS5 in May as the company has already unveiled the PlayStation 5 architecture and build. When exactly is not known, it is also unclear whether this means that Sony originally targeted a June appointment. But you shouldn’t rely too much on the fact that Sony will be introducing the PlayStation 5 in just a few weeks. Ahmad also warns that we are living in an unprecedented situation and that plans can change at the last second.
