Just recently, POCO introduced the POCO F5 series. The series consists of two members the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro. These smartphones are said to be the best offerings from the company right now. Although these smartphones are members of the same series, they appear entirely different from one another. Let’s have a brief look at their specs.
The POCO F5 is all flat from all sides including the front and back. Its display is flat with a central camera hole on top. On the back, it holds three camera islands. In contrast, the POCO F5 Pro has a curved back. It accompanies a camera island on the top-left corner. It has thin bezels and a central display camera hole.
The two smartphones have the same camera setup. The camera setup includes a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. on the front, a 16MP camera is provided. Both smartphones have the support for the 67W wired charging. However, the Pro model also supports 30W wireless charging. The POCO F5 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, whereas the ‘Pro’ unit is powered by a 5,160mAh battery.

Both smartphones have a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display. However, it is not the same. The POCO F5 offers a fullHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It offers around 1,000 nits of peak brightness. On the other hand, the POCO F5 Pro features a 6.67-inch WQHD+ flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. It offers up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness.
Chipset and storage options
The POCO F5 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, whereas the POCO F5 Pro is fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Both smartphones have support for the Dynamic RAM expansion 3.0 feature and LiquidCool Technology 2.0. Both devices offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The 8GB and 12GB RAM variants of the POCO F5 come with 256GB of storage. The POCO F5 Pro model offers up to 512GB of storage.
Other connectivity feature
Both smartphones come with Android 13 and MIUI 14. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is provided on the POCO F5, whereas the ‘Pro’ model features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both devices include 5G connectivity, an IR blaster, and stereo speakers. Both smartphones are also IP53 certified. Only the POCO F5 has an audio jack.
