Protect Your Identity & Money Till FIA Investigates The Fake Email Matter- FBR

Federal Investigation Agency is asked by FBR to inspect the fake emails intended to trick the taxpayers and to expose the offenders behind this wicked activity.

Till the emails are investigated people are told to remain cautious of the emails that are deceptive and avoid sharing personal and professional information through the links given in these emails. FBR reported that some hackers have made a fake FBR page and are using it for immoral activities.

This is what can happen to you so read carefully

Taxpayers are receiving an email asking them about their tax refund. The email address is anonymous like rreid@voorhees.edu. It appears that the email address is from FBR but in reality, it is not.

The email then tells taxpayer to click on the link given and collect their tax refund. The actual website of FBR is http://www.fbr.gov.pk  but the link would lead users to this link http://www.thefordbarn.com/media/FBR/refundportal.htm.

Then the password and bank account number would be asked. If users give this personal information their bank account and identity is compromised by the hackers.

FBR has denied any relation with these emails and continually cautioned taxpayers not to open the links and become a victim of the hackers. Also, don’t give up your personal info or else you will lose it.

Now investigation has started but in a previous article, we told our readers how FBR has issued a notice to the taxpayers to remain cautious and report to the authorities if such an incident happens to them.
