Prototype images of BMW iX3 show future design

The German car manufacturer is currently in the process of developing its “New Class”. The iX3, the first corresponding electric car, is scheduled to come onto the market in 2025. Now there are current pictures of an Erlkönig, which is equipped with the new LED light signature for the first time. BMW

Prototype of the BMW iX3 photographed

BMW will introduce its new electric vehicles over the next year. The first “New Class” car available will be the BMW iX3, which is an SUV. The car could already be seen in concept drawings and earlier photos. However, the model is now in the final test phase before market launch. New pictures now show the new LED lights on a real car for the first time.

In addition, the photos allow Car scoops also take a look under the hood. Unlike many electric cars, the upcoming iX3 does not have any additional storage space at this point. Instead, additional technology is probably housed here. BMW also dispenses with the retractable door handles that were installed in concept drawings in this model and uses traditional levers.

The iX3, planned for the end of 2025, will be the first car from BMW to come with a new design. This should gradually be applied to all electric and combustion engine models. The iX3 will initially be followed by the i3 and finally the X5 in a new look.

New display in the interior

Information about the interior of the vehicles is also already available. The cars will have a so-called panoramic vision display. This is a thin screen that protrudes from the surface of the dashboard and extends almost across its entire width. Depending on his wishes, the driver is then shown information about speed, navigation or the vehicle in general.

Work on further drive technologies

In addition to the design of its cars, BMW and Toyota are also continuing to work on a hydrogen model with a fuel cell. Although the Japanese attracted the ire of many customers with their first series attempt, the Toyota Mirai, they continue to believe in the technology. Series production of the first H2 BMW is scheduled to start in 2028.
