Huawei and PTCL are collaborating to expand FTTH network of PTCL. Huawei in collaboration with PTCL will provide fiber to the curb (FTTC) and fiber to the home (FTTH) solutions to the leading telecommunication company in Pakistan. The aim of this collaboration is to modernize PTCL network.
At the moment PTCL has almost 95% fixed broadband access network along with copper line resources in the country.
CTIO PTCL Saad Muzaffar Waraich said, “Huawei’s broadband solution assists us in building the most competitive network. By deploying Huawei FTTC/FTTH solutions, we are able to provide more users with higher bandwidth and better experience based on existing copper line resources and new fiber lines.
PTCL wants to totally revolutionize its network by providing average 20 Mbit/s and sultra100 Mbits and 1000 Mbit broadband services in high-end areas of Pakistan. New technologies that PTCL is incorporating to achieve its goal include VDSL2, SuperVector, G.fast, and GPON.

Also, a test laboratory is developed by PTCL to test all its services before launching them nationwide. Thus it can be ensured if the quality is worth it or not. Huawei will aid PTCL in building network targeting high-end users and areas. The company will use network planning tool for it. Huawei network system is so strong that it can immediately find faults in the system and strive for improvement.
