Qualcomm is working on the new Snapdragon 888+ SoC. This processor made it to Geekbench 5, giving some insights about this chipset.
According to the tipsters, the change we expect from this chipset is the four background cores at 1.8GHz, and three middling cores running at 2.42GHz.
The same information is supported by another tipster – Digital Chat Station on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
According to one source, “the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset has returned scores of 1,171 in single-core performance and 3,704 in multi-core performance.”
Moreover, it was informed that this Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset was tested with a 6GB RAM device. Of course, this is a preliminary production phase test result. We expect that this chipset would be more suitable for devices with higher memory configurations.
As of now, we do not have more details about this Qualcomm chipset. We are also uncertain when this chip would be released. However, since the chipset has already made it to Geekbench, we could expect an official announcement in a few weeks.
