Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+: AI-Powered Cameras Take Center Stage
Realme has officially introduced its 14 Pro series to international markets, showcasing two smartphones that emphasize advanced camera capabilities. The range includes the Realme 14 Pro+ and the more affordable Realme 14 Pro, which differ in features and price.
The Realme 14 Pro+ boasts a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a resolution beyond 1080p. Meanwhile, the 14 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.77-inch screen but maintains the same refresh rate. Both models feature under-display fingerprint scanners and hole-punch front cameras—32MP for the Pro+ and 16MP for the Pro.
One highlight of the series is the innovative Pearl White design, which changes color depending on temperature. When the temperature drops below 16°C, the panel shifts from White to Blue, a first in the smartphone industry.
Under the hood, the Realme 14 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, while the 14 Pro packs the Dimensity 7300. The latter uses slightly older CPU architecture but delivers solid performance at a lower price point.
For camera enthusiasts, the Realme 14 Pro+ shines. It features a 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for its main camera and a periscope-style telephoto lens. The telephoto setup uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor that supports up to 120x SuperZoom—achieved through a combination of 3x optical zoom and digital enhancement.
Realme has integrated AI Ultra Clarity 2.0 into the camera system, which improves clarity, reduces noise, and enhances super-resolution effects, particularly noticeable with higher zoom levels. Camera samples captured in Copenhagen during both daytime and nighttime showcased impressive results.
The standard 14 Pro also includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Both versions retain the series’ signature “Ocean Oculus” design for the triple-lens setup, though one of the circles is purely decorative in the Pro model.
Battery capacity has increased, with both devices sporting a 6,000mAh battery—15% larger than the previous generation, offering approximately 20% more usage time. The Pro+ supports 80W fast charging, while the Pro caps at 45W. Realme also promises the battery will retain 80% of its health after 1,600 charge cycles, or roughly four years.
Running on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, the phones include 360-degree NFC functionality depending on the region.
Prices vary slightly depending on the model and region. The Realme 14 Pro starts at $265 (INR 22,999) for the 8GB/128GB configuration, while the Pro+ begins at $325 (INR 27,999). Both phones are available in Black, Purple, and the unique Pearl White. Launch plans include availability in India, with expansion to other regions expected soon.
