In the last 12 months, Realme has made quite an impression in the budget segment mobile phones in India. Now the brand is making waves in Chinese and European markets.
Last month, Realme X launched in China and it will be later launched in India in 2019. Now Realme wants to explore the premium segment market and launch a 5G-enabled phone in 2019.

Madhav Sheth tweeted, “5GisReal… Straight out of meeting room with Mr. Sky Li. Glad to share you our latest R&D updates: #realme will be among the first brands to bring 5G products globally this year. And we are determined to bring the best of technology to India as early as possible.”
Last month, in a roundtable held in China Madhav Sheth said that he wants to launch a 5G-enabled device in India at some point but as of yet there is no infrastructure in the country for it. It will take a couple of years for a 5G device to launch in India. So for now, Realme can target markets in China and the UK.
Now the device might a Realme X Pro equipped with a Snapdragon 855. But as of yet, it’s just speculation. Realme might role out an affordable phone with the 5G network.
