Red Magic 10 Pro Gaming Phone Comes Without Front Camera Hole
Red Magic, the Chinese gaming smartphone and tablet specialist, has already revealed the design of the device ahead of the official market launch of its new flagship model, the Red Magic 10 Pro. It’s going to be big, very big.
Almost 7-inch display without a hole for the front camera
The Red Magic 10 Pro will be officially presented tomorrow morning. A day earlier, the manufacturer, which is essentially a subsidiary of the former ZTE brand Nubia, gave an outlook on the design of its new gaming-oriented flagship smartphone.
A small fan is again integrated into the housing. In addition to the mini fan that will probably be illuminated again, Red Magic is also trying to set standards in other respects with the 10 Pro model. The device gets an even larger display, the diagonal of which now increases to almost seven inches. The device is still relatively compact with its extremely narrow edges.
Red Magic also relies on a design in which the usual industry-standard “structures” on the back in the form of the camera module or at least the optics are dispensed with. Instead, there are only two relatively simple cameras installed above the small fan, but they do not protrude from the housing.
The 6.85-inch diagonal display has a “1.5K” resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hertz and of course uses an OLED panel. Another unique selling point is that Red Magic uses an “under-screen” camera for the display, i.e. uses a continuous panel that does not have a cutout for the front camera.
To ensure that the device stays relatively cool even during longer gaming sessions, Red Magic uses a cooling system called “Ice X”. Cooling elements in sandwich construction are used inside, in which a middle layer of indium is intended to dissipate the heat particularly quickly.
It is also already known that at least one of the planned models of the Red Magic 10 Pro will have a gigantic 7050mAh battery. The Chinese brand’s top model is said to have the largest battery to date used in a smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. In the coming months, the Red Magic 10 Pro will also be launched in Europe; after all, Nubia has been trying to win customers in this country for some time.
Apart from some somewhat bumpy translations of the software, the devices always made a very sophisticated impression. After the Red Magic 10 series, Nubia will probably bring a “civilian” variant of the same hardware base onto the market relatively soon, the Nubia Z70 Ultra. These models are probably equipped with a complex camera module and do not come with a small fan.
