Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is working on a new lineup – the K50 series. Although the series is still months away from us, we have little to share today.
One of the Redmi devices – the Redmi K50 Pro+ – was recently spotted in a tipster’s Weibo account. The tipster managed to score a little about this smartphone and we are replicating it here.
According to the tipster, the K50 Pro+ will feature a Snapdragon 898 chipset, which is still to be released. The device will generate its power from a 5,000 mAh battery.
According to GSMArena, “the display is rumored to be curved with a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera and under-display fingerprint reader.”
The tipster also said the front camera would feature a 108MP periscope telephoto shooter. If that stands correct, it would be a full-fledged flagship.
There’s no news of the device coming this year. So, we expect to see this Redmi smartphone in 2022.
Previously, we heard from another source that the Redmi K50 series would come in the next year. So that makes the two of us. We also heard the lineup would feature an E-5 AMOLED display from Samsung, a built-in fingerprint scanner, the Pro model to feature a Snapdragon 895 SoC with at least 8GB of RAM, and there will be a 67W fast-charging support.
