Redmi Note 8 2021 is expected to come with an Helio G85 chipset
Xiaomi is upgrading the old Redmi Note 8 and calling it the Redmi Note 8 2021. This device is expected to come with an Helio G85 SoC.
Xiaomi is all set to relaunch the Redmi Note 8 and bring the new Redmi Note 8 2021. The company is simply refreshing the device with some new features and specifications. All this is to celebrate the sale of 25 million units of the original device. Let’s review what this new device will bring.
The Redmi Note 8 2021 will feature a waterdrop notch display, with a 6.3-inch display. Under the hood, we will witness an upgrade. The company will replace the previous SoC with the new Helio G85 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage. The original device came with the Snapdragon 665 SoC.
On the rear, we will get a quad-camera setup featuring a 48MP primary sensor. The original device had a quad 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP sensor. So, we expect this specification to remain the same in the new device. On the front, there’s a 13MP front camera.
We are expecting a fingerprint sensor located on the rear side. This new Redmi Note 8 2021 is also expected to bring a fast 22.5W fast charging.
So far, we do not hear more changes in the new device. However, we expect that this device should have a resolution of 1080p and come with more color options.
With that said, the tipster suggested that we might see more changes in this device. However, we would have to wait and see if our tipster stands correct or not.
