Redmi Note 9 Pro Specs Unveiled On Geekbench

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all clear to launch its new device Redmi Note 9 Pro after appearing on Geekbench with some key specifications.
The devices that appear on Geekbench are mostly in the final stages of launch and they are released soon after they appear on the platform. Geekbench today has unveiled a new device code name “Curtana”.
The device is an updated model of Redmi Note 8 Pro and it will also directly compete with Oppo’s Realme 6 Pro which appeared on Geekbench earlier with model number RMX2061. According to the Geekbench listing the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC which clocks at 1.8GHz having 8-cores.

The model tested on Geekbench also shows 6GB RAM but we can expect more variants with different RAM specifications, it could also be assumed that the base variant would carry 6GB RAM.
Redmi Note 9 Pro will be running Android 10.0 out of the box. The devices scored 569 points on a single-core test while 1755 points on the multi-core test. The device scores comparatively equal to Realme 6 Pro, however, Realme 6 Pro was tested on 8GB RAM instead. This also indicates that Redmi Note 9 Pro is faster than its competitor. It is also expected that both devices would be powered by the same processor Snapdragon 720G most probably. The devices are also expected to launch with non-pro versions. Realme and Redmi both have canceled the traditional offline event due to Coronavirus threat and will telecast the launch event online.
