RTX 5090: Scalper Demand Sky Prices On eBay
The availability of the RTX 5090 remains critical even two months after the market launch. Even if the price falls slowly, Scalper still sell the Founders Edition on Ebay for the double of the RRP. Buyers have to put up with it.
Prices for GeForce cards remain at a record level
The Geforce RTX 5090, Nvidia’s current graphics card flagship, has been officially available for almost two months – at least theoretically. The recommended retail price is $ 1999, but the actual market prices are still at a significantly higher level.
NVIDIA even started a kind of lock system to offer at least one handful of customers the opportunity to get one of the Blackwell GPUs for the RRP. Although it was said that Nvidia had expanded production at the RTX 5090, at least so far none of this has been noticeable. The Founders Edition of the RTX 5090 is practically permanently sold out, custom designs of the board partners are also in short supply. And so interested parties continue to pay exorbitant prices for a copy of the GPU.
Scalper continues to collect
A current analysis of the Reddit user Princediplo underlines this fact. He brought together the prices of all copies of the RTX 5090 Fe sold on Ebay since its publication in January. Accordingly, the amounts, the scalper for the map, have stabilized at a high level. Since the beginning of March, the price has been almost unchanged at an average of $4,000.
This is an improvement compared to the initial top prices of up to $10,000 shortly after launch, but buyers still pay twice the official sales price. The situation is not significantly different in this country.
