Samsung Brings One UI Design To Its Notebooks Using Windows

One UI is everyday life for many, after all, the Samsung variant of the Android operating system is represented on all Galaxy devices. Now the company announces that it wants to bring the design of the current mobile interface, One UI 4, to its Windows laptops.

Android Feeling on Windows laptops

Samsung and Microsoft have been working together for years. Among other things, the companies have been working on closer links between Windows and Android. The result: Customized Office apps for Fold devices, Xbox Games Pass on Galaxy devices, OneDrive integration in apps, and more. Now Samsung announces that they want to give Windows 11 a new touch on their own laptops.

As The Verge writes in its report, the Korean company is setting out to adapt its Windows applications on the Galaxy Book family to the model of its own smartphones. The update, which is being developed under the somewhat unwieldy name One UI Book 4, gives the Samsung Notes, Samsung Gallery, and Samsung Settings apps a new coat of paint.

Samsung is trying to balance both the design changes in Windows 11 and the One UI’s own design ideas. The result: new app icons, a refreshed folder structure, adapted menu layouts, and extras such as support for Dark mode. The close relationship to the design on the Galaxy smartphones definitely makes switching between Samsung laptops and smartphones easier.

Initially For five models

According to current information, One UI Book 4 will be available on the Galaxy Book Pro 360, Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Flex2, Galaxy Book, and Galaxy Book Odyssey. It will be very exciting to see how Samsung and Microsoft continue to work together here in the future.
