Samsung Galaxy Fold Is Priced at £1,799 In The UK

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Fold a month back, the company initially announced the phone for US market only by April 26 which was priced at $1980. The company also said earlier that this is an extremely high-end phone which will not be sold in every market and every store.

Today the pricing for Samsung Galaxy Fold in the UK has surfaced, Samsung UK has announced today that the phone will be available in the UK and US simultaneously on April 26. The smartphone will be sold by Samsung’s official retail stores and operator EE in the UK at £1,799 or RMB 16,000.

As far as the price of upcoming foldable phones is concerned there are only two competitors for now Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X Foldable.  

Huawei Foldable Phone

Huawei has gone one step ahead of Samsung while setting the price for its Mate X Foldable; The Company offers the phone for 2,299 Euros in Europe which is roughly RMB 17,500 little upscale than Samsung Galaxy Fold. The best part is Huawei Mate X supports 5G technology which provides it an upper hand over the rival.

Galaxy Fold Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Fold is 4.6-inch front screen when it is folded, it exhibits Super AMOLED display with 1680×720 pixels of resolution. When the phone is unfolded it features 7.3-inch large screen with Dynamic AMOLED material along with 2048×1536 pixels resolution and offers 4:2:3 screen-to-body ratio.

Samsung claims that the folding hinge can last 200,000 folds without being becoming wobbly, the phone also features the world’s first UFS 3.0 512GB of internal storage, 4800mAh battery is to power up the larger screen for long hours.

The phone supports fast wired charging along with wireless charging. The phone also supports C-Type USB along with 3.5mm headphone jack.  There are 6 cameras in Galaxy Fold, 10MP front camera, 16MP+12MP+2MP super wide-angle, Wide-angle and telephoto respectively. There are two 10MP+8MP depth of field cameras.
