Like always, smartphones start coming into the light long before their official introduction. Even when the company won’t say a word, the listing sites or tipsters say a lot. Similar is the case with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M42 5G. After appearing on other channels, this smartphone recently appeared on BIS.
Let’s discover the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G.
First, the phone resembles the Galaxy A42, which was announced in September 2020. Then it is said that this new smartphone will come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoS, built on an 8nm fabrication process, and powers some popular mid-range smartphones such as Xiaomi Mi 10i.
The device will have 4GB RAM, as spotted on Geekbench. It will run Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.0 skin on top. According to the 3C listing, the smartphone is confirmed to get a 6,000mAh battery. The phone has also passed through Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG.
It’s also expected that the device will have a 6.6″ AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a quad-rear camera setup with 48MP or 64MP primary camera.
Okay, so much of the information is merely speculation. But, it’s confirmed that the device will come to India on April 28th, as Samsung India said. The phone will be initially available on Amazon only, and it will cost under Rs. 25,000 in the country, making it Samsung’s cheapest 5G-enabled smartphone in the country.
