Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks suggest that Samsung to remove some key features

Samsung is already in a process to cancel the biggest Galaxy Note 9 upgrade and now the company will slice a major feature form the Galaxy S10 but it seems Samsung is ditching it for a very good reason.

In a report published by Korean blog, states that Samsung will ditch the iris scanner from the upcoming Galaxy S10 which is one of the core elements in its ‘Intelligent Scan’ facial unlocking.

Why Samsung is not adding this feature in Galaxy S10 is the real question here, well Samsung is too close to finalizing the replacement of 3D facial recognition module which peaks in accuracy and it will be a direct competitor to Apple’s Face ID with the same level quality and elegance.

According to the report Samsung has been in collaboration with Mantis an Israeli company to work on the module and the module is in final stages quite close to starting mass production. But if Samsung fails to meet the mass production deadline, it will revert the module to iris scanner.

However, that is just the start of Samsung efforts to improve its 3D facial recognition software, the report says that the biggest feature removed from Galaxy S10 will be this and in-display fingerprint scanner. Samsung is focused more on emerging rivals such as Oppo and Vivo who already have these features in their Smartphones with this technology, so Samsung is catching up in 2019.

The thing that will not change in Galaxy S10 is the size of Galaxy S10, the smartphones will keep the 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch display sizes according to the report. However, screen-to-body ratios will improve as Samsung will cut down already slim bezels while still fighting the industry trend of having a notch.

Apple which had already accurate in its Face ID was also criticized for removing Touch ID fingerprint sensor. If Samsung can deliver the in-display fingerprint reader as many wanted in iPhone X then Samsung Galaxy S10 could be the big hit.
